About Us

In the Summer of 2021, as a fairly new business owner of interior styling, Jessica sheepishly reached out to her local mom's Facebook group in search of support and camaraderie. Jessica has always loved gathering friends and family together so she naturally inquired about an in-person get together. At the risk of push back in the midst of the Covid pandemic, a group of 12 women gathered in Jessica's backyard. Something incredible happened that night. There were giggles and tears, celebration and inspiration, community and networking. It was apparent that the time had come that humans were ready to be with one another.

With no intention of continuing beyond that one gathering, Jessica shared pictures of the event on that same mom's page and immediately got countless inquiries about joining and requests to do another event. With nerves and reluctance, Jessica hosted another event in her home a couple months later...with even more women, more "vibe" and more obvious need for a stable and supportive community.

As the year progressed and it became apparent there was a strong need for this growing community to continue, Jessica, along with a few other amazingly strong women (a special thank you to Agnes Szuberla, Christie Thompson, Danyele Peters, Ashley Dreager and Sarah Eno), built the group into what affectionately became Business Ladies of Snohomish (BLOS). A group that started with just 12 people in a backyard, grew to 600 ladies in just one short year. With its rapid success, Jessica decided it was time to expand BLOS to a whole new level, with the intention of generating chapters across Washington with memberships.

In December of 2022, a year and a half later, the real BLOS was born, except it became Business Ladies of Society to demonstrate the growing community (not limited to Snohomish County) and the magic that comes when a group of women come together to build one another up.
