About Us

In the Summer of 2021, as a fairly new business owner of interior styling, Jessica sheepishly reached out to her local mom's Facebook group in search of support and camaraderie. Jessica has always loved gathering friends and family together so she naturally inquired about an in-person get together. At the risk of push back in the midst of the Covid pandemic, a group of 12 women gathered in Jessica's backyard. Something incredible happened that night. There were giggles and tears, celebration and inspiration, community and networking. It was apparent that the time had come that humans were ready to be with one another.
With no intention of continuing beyond that one gathering, Jessica shared pictures of the event on that same mom's page and immediately got countless inquiries about joining and requests to do another event. With nerves and reluctance, Jessica hosted another event in her home a couple months later. She meanwhile had connected with Agnieszka (Agnes) through the Facebook page and invited her to attend. The very day Agnes moved into Jessica's town, she took a break from all the unloading of boxes to take a huge leap of faith and come. There was an instant connection between the two women, and they quickly collaborated on many projects; Jessica with her interior decorating business and Agnes with her photography.
As the year progressed and it became apparent there was a strong need for this continued community, Jessica, along with Agnes and a few other ladies (a special thank you to Christie Thompson, Danyele Peters, and Sarah Eno) built the group into what has been affectionately called Business Ladies of Snohomish (BLOS). A group that started with just 12 people in a backyard, grew to 600 ladies in just one short year. With its rapid success, Jessica decided it was time to expand BLOS to a whole new level, with the intention of generating chapters across Washington with memberships.
As the journey of creating a business began, Agnes made the incredible decision to come along and bring her strengths, passion, and skills to the table.
In December of 2022, a year and a half later, the real BLOS was born, except it became Business Ladies of Society to demonstrate the growing community and the magic that comes when a group of women come together to build one another up.

Agnieszka (Agnes), Co-owner,is a lifestyle family and branding photographer at Pacific Mist Photography. Born and raised in a beautiful small mountain town in Poland. After graduating from a university, she worked and helped with building a new security company in her hometown. She visited Michigan for a first time about fifteen years ago to see her best friend (older sister). It was also a time when she fell in love with the USA. Upon her return visit, she found her better half and the US became her second home. Her family loves spending time in the mountains, and this was a primary reason why she decided to move to the Evergreen State back in 2013. Agnes has one daughter who keeps her busy with all after-school activities. She also volunteers her time as a photographer for a Children's Hospital. In her spare time, she loves to be active so naturally she travels to the mountains to enjoy the outdoors or goes for a run with her friends. She also enjoys swimming and one day hopes to participate in a triathlon. Her creativity is not limited to photography as she always loves learning new crafts to grow both professionally and personally.
