Welcome to the membership page, we are so glad you have decided to join the amazing BLOS community! Get ready to join a group of incredible women who want to see you win and want to help you get there!
Because we are always looking to improve the quality of our program and the patrons included, we now REQUIRE an application for new members prior to joining.
We are seeking women who uphold positive values, care about their community and seek opportunities to better her society. While we do not require a certain number of events to be attended, we highly encourage activity. When you are an active member and engage, the return on your investment is much higher and the quality of your relationships will increase.
Lastly, in any community of women there is potential for drama, cattiness, and competition. We don't want that here (say it again for the girls in back!)...owning your own business or just being a human is already hard enough. We believe in building up our community through shared, authentic experiences, encouragement and engagement. We are not a one-seat-per-industry networking group, so if you are not willing to sit in a room with other women from your industry than this not the place for you.
By submitting this application, you agree to (and this serves as our official BLOS CODE OF CONDUCT) the following items. Failure to abide by these rules will result in a warning after your first offense and removing you from the community (and will risk ever being able to return) after your second. *Depending on severity, BLOS reserves the right to skip straight to the "removal" process.
1) Maintain a professional behavior and relationship with all members in and out of BLOS events and on social media. Intimidation, bullying, verbal or physical assault will not be tolerated.
2) Speaking badly about other businesses, especially BLOS, on your social media, whether it is passive or straight forward. If other members can tell who you are talking about, it counts as being straight forward. Basically, if your words are hurting the way others see a business and its practices, you do not belong here.
3) Please refrain from sharing your political and personal views on your business social media along with any type of BLOS membership identification. Please understand that by being a member of any organization, you represent them whether you think so or not.
4) In the event of alcohol being served at a BLOS event, please practice good judgement in consumption and professionalism while at event. If you appear to be intoxicated, a car service will be immediately called to take you home at your own expense.
5) There are certain professions or products of a profession that BLOS reserves the right to deny the sale or distribution of. It is on a case-by-case basis and is always up for discussion but, generally, BLOS will not endorse businesses centered on political affiliations, drugs, sex toys, specific religious groups or churches, etc.
*BLOS reserves the right to make updates to this document at any time, as it sees fit.
